A year ago today I was in the animal hospital, having an operation. I do not remember it, but mom and dad do. They never dared hope that I would still be around today. But here I am, out for a stroll this afternoon.

I was quite frantic when I didn't hear from you. Checked everyday, expecting the worst but thank God you are OK. Some bad news here, though, we lost our beloved Abbey (black Lab) last week to Lyme Disease. It attacked her kidneys and there was no hope. She was only 6 1/2 and she rests here with us now.
