Sunshine - at last!

There is nothing I enjoy more (excluding food, of course) than sitting outside getting baked by the sun. Yesterday was the first day for a very long time that was possible. It was lovely, just relaxing, but there mom and dad were, working away in the garden. Humans don't have their priorities right.

Wet Days

Every morning we plod along, me and mom, and the other humans and their dogs, around the muddy field with rain in our faces. Wellingtons and wet paws, mud between my toes and a dirty underside that gets washed with the freezing water from the garden hose before I am allowed back in the house. It has been raining for ever, we feel.

Top Dog

No, not me. This is Willy, who won best in show at Crufts this evening. I'd say he could do with a haircut. And a good muddy walk with the rest of us.

Red Ball

I found this on the riverbank this morning and carried it through our whole walk, all the way around the field and back to the river, where I left it exactly where I had found it. I picked up a stick there, which I took home with me.

Wet sand

We get a lot of car trips now while dad is trying out his new car. Today we went to the beach and I had a little walk in the mud. Let's see if I can improve the ambience of that car a little bit.

New Car

Why did they have to get rid of a perfectly good car that was comfortable and smelled of sandy beaches, muddy paws and me? This new one smells strange, and I don't like it. They did put my old towel on the seat for me, but mom has washed it!
